London
This weekend I went on a trip to London with Andy for my Birthday. I thought that I would Blog about my time.
Our journey started with a two hour trip on a Virgin Pendolino train whizzing down the tracks towards London. When we arrived at Euston station we encountered a very busy underground with locals bustling around us while we decided weather we needed to go northbound or southbound. Once we finally decided which train to get we were pushed and shoved into the carriages with our bags bashing against people. But we soon came to realise that this experience was all part of the excitement of London.

We then arrived at our very posh apartment which was in such a central location from the building doorway you could see the shard towering above us. That night we explored the surrounding area, walking over London Bridge with a fantastic view of Tower Bridge. Along with the shard, HMS Belfast and the Tower of London. This was such a great start to our trip.
Saturday was full of typical tourist antics, Buckingham Place with the changing of the guard, Trafalgar Square, Downing Street, Big Ben, Westminster Abbey, London Eye and St. Paul's Cathedral. Not forgetting walking over the bridge that got destroyed in Harry Potter. The day was full of walking, pictures, fun and laughter.

That evening we went to watch The Lion King, after a lovely meal in Covent Garden. Lion King was fantastic I would definitely recommend it to anyone it full of songs, dance and entertainment for all ages. Even Andy who is a typical boy who loves football and farming really enjoyed this show, he didn't stop singing the songs on the tube back.

Sunday I was woken up with a lovely birthday card and a surprise present to go up the shard, which I have never done before which was exciting. When we arrived at the Shard we were greeted by very friendly staff members and given an audio tour guide. This gave us information about the view amongst other things such as meeting the window cleaner. After a trip in two lifts we made it to the viewing deck where we had an amazing view of London. I definitely would recommend the trip as the view is well worth it.
Overall our trip was very successful and exciting as we ended it was a session of people watching in Leicester Square.
