Learning to Become a Resilient Teacher
Today we had a seminar and lecture on how to manage our stress to become resilient teachers. We explored the potential impact of stress for individuals as well as strategies to promote resilience.
Upon reflection on this topic I have been able to find methods that can control my stress levels such as, time management and having a schedule. This will allow me to stay clam whilst on placement which will enable me to be the best teacher I can be. We also looked at drawing on the knowledge and support of colleagues to support you with your stress.
As well as managing work load I have been exposed to the importance of taking care of myself and continuing to do the things I enjoy.
This will allow me to ensure that I have positive attitudes in the classroom and I will demonstrate a positive attitude and behaviour which is also expected of the children. As well as developing professional relationships with colleagues and drawing on advice in a appropriate way. This has allowed me to progress in my professional development.
